Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
We have a studio fee per painter of £3.75 then all pots are individually priced, ranging from £5 – £50 depending on what you choose.
Can I take it home today?
All of the pots in our studio need to be glazed and fired, therefore you cannot take them with you immediately. Ask us when we are firing the kiln next; we endeavor to get items ready ahead of when they are needed. We also do lots of posting.
Do we need to book?
If you know when you would like to come we would advise booking a table, you can always change it on the day. Alternatively you are welcome to pop in at anytime and see if we have a slot.
We would strongly recommend booking a session when it rains! We would also recommend you book sessions for hand and footprints, so we can be available to help out.
Is there a time limit?
We do not put a limit on the time you are in the studio. Typically painters spend between 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on design and the size of the pot.
Can you help with the design?
We demonstrate to each painter how all of the paints work and offer a few tips before getting started. Our studio assistants are always on hand to offer advice and suggestions. The shop is also full of designs to give you inspiration!
Are the items food safe?
Yes, all items are fully glazed and water tight.
Are your plates dishwasher safe?
Although the pots will be fine in the dishwasher, we would advise to hand wash your creations and they may last longer.
Are items microwave safe?
Items should not be put in the microwave.
Can we finish something off for you?
We are happy to add a few finishing touches to your pot (adding writing or fine details). We do charge for the time it takes based on our commission rate of £10/hour, but most touches cost around £3
